Contemporary Craft Commission: 'The Journey: Exploring the Nature of Mending'
Who: A commission for a recent applied arts graduate or returning maker for a new piece of work related to the theme of 'Mending', making connections also with a Museum collection of your choice. The work can be in any medium, but should reflect a strong involvement in the act of making. The commission comes with a budget for professional development for the successful candidate: this could be mentoring or training as appropriate.
What: A project of commissions, exhibition, and Museum collections investigating the theme of mending in the widest sense, initiated by independent artist/maker and curator Jacy Wall, in partnership with Walford Mill Crafts, Wimborne, Dorset,
Where: The commissioned work will be exhibited in the first instance along with four other contemporary craft commissions, and further selected work, at Walford Mill Crafts and the Priest's House Museum, Wimborne, Dorset.
When: Deadline for submissions: August 1st 2012. The exhibition will take place in September 2013
Fee: £2200 + £500 professional development budget

You should also describe how your proposal would develop your work, technically or conceptually. Please include no more than 3 low-resolution images to be no more than100dpi each.
