I use embroidery, applique, beading, and wirework to recreate the colours, shapes and textures found in the countryside around me in Somerset - from dragonflies, flowers and shells to the ever changing landscapes. I use this inspiration on the one-off items of clothing and jewellery that I make including wedding dresses, jackets and scarves as well as more detailed studies in pieces of textile art. I particularly like to use textiles as the basis for my work because of the texture that can be created with embroidery, wool, beads and fabric.

I use wire and silver clay for my jewellery, wire is such a versatile material that can be shaped and sculpted into so many different forms and I use glass beads and semi-precious stones to bring in the colours that I love so much in nature.
