Beyond the Parrett

My work is a mixture of techniques, mediums and styles including Watercolour, Acrylics, Print Making, Lino cut, Ink washes and Textile Flower accessories(and some fun "painted Pebble Pets" complete with blankets and care instructions). I have hardly picked up a brush since having my children but now having set the goal of our Somerset Art Week Exhibition it has reminded me how much I love painting. My standard style tends to be a very traditional Watercolour but I have my mad moments of working much more freely with bright colours and as a result I have two very contrasting styles.

I studied Art at A-Level and have a B-tec National Diploma in Art and Design but I am mostly self taught.

My time is mainly taken up with my four young children and it will be a miracle if I have anything to exhibit in September next year let alone this year!!!

But we will be doing some face painting during the weekend of Somerset Art weeks so if all else fails there will be some real time artwork!!!
