Educated at Blundells and the Sorbonne.
He was a teacher in Sussex before coming to Mere in the 70’s, initially to paint, and then to open Blue Rider, which was to become one of the country’s better known second-hand bookshops.
Also involved with Photography, he has travelled extensively to many of the world’s more exotic countries, and has compiled a wide record or the people and places encountered.
He is now a full-time painter again and has recently moved to Minehead.
Over the years he has exhibited at several venues, but latterly he has been able to show exclusively in his own gallery, and subsequently most of his work is bought privately.
He paints landscapes in acrylics, mainly on board.
He works entirely in the studio, from sketches and photo references, from feelings and memories.
