My work considers the concept of the transience of life through our relationship with the botanical. Large apothecary jars depict healing herbs and their benefits, large vases bear herbal remedies and jardinieres carry high relief foliage of plants which relate to the human body in some form or other. All tongue in cheek, labelled in faux Latin and reminiscent of Delftware- a reminder of things past.
