Graduated in 2007 with a 1st Class Degree in Fine Art Painting from Bath Spa University.

Lives and works in Somerset.

Since graduating in 2007, Kitty has continued to develop her contemporary works on wood.

Her process involves constantly making drawings and collecting images and unusual objects, as well as researching and documenting the work of other artists.  She frequently experiments with new materials and methods.  It is often a solitary endeavour, and the open spaces of the South-West provide the best possible environment for ideas to evolve.  Most recently the subject matter of the work has circled around notions of root systems, seeds, pods, birds and wilderness.  The finished pieces often seem to contain an element of landscape or otherworldly space, whilst the viewer is also continually aware of the interaction or conflict that takes place between marks on the two-dimensional surface.

Through this exploration of abstract painting Kitty is constantly striving to bring something new to the table; these are thought provoking works, full of tension and mystery.
