Those were the days..

I am a freelance illustrator and printmaker, living and working in Somerset. I graduated from the University of the West of England in Bristol in 1997, with a degree in Illustration. I have recently completed a Masters Degree in Printmaking with a distinction. My illustrative work is generally inspired by design and advertising from the fifties and sixties, but with a modern contemporary twist. I chiefly work in Adobe Photoshop, as this allows me to manipulate my own drawings with colour, text and pattern. My work has been featured in Elle Decoration, Spirit and Destiny and Top Gear magazines, Campaign and Redbook in the United States. I have also designed for contemporary greeting card publishers Artist Cards and Soultrader. My work has been featured in The Association of Illustrators - The Best of British Illustration Awards Book in 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2008. The work I have been producing in printmaking, is an extension of my illustration, but on a larger scale and in mixed media. For my Masters Degree show I produced designs for ceramics, which I am currently developing. i recently exhibited my designs on ceramics at the Royal West of England Academy.
