Having spent my formative years in Calgary, Canada I returned to England with my British family at the age of 17, having completed my high school education. In England I took up training in graphic design and illustration, at Plymouth College of Art and Design, and following graduation, spent the next 10 years as an artist in advertising agencies in Manchester and Bristol. The following 20 years were spent in the packaging industry, and having gained membership to SLADE, I worked as a graphic artist combining colour separation work and package design. Now I work from home, applying my skills to watercolour painting, a medium I love, trying out various techniques and ideas. I have also had several exhibitions at local galleries, given lectures to three regional art groups, and taken up part time teaching to a local art class. I also frame and mount my own pictures, a service I now offer to all. There is an ongoing exhibition of my work in my gallery at home as well as at the WHEATSHEAF INN STONE ALLERTON , my local watering hole. You are welcome to visit.
