merino and hemp fibre one piece felted waistcoat

   i am a feltmaker and painter.inspired by the diverse textures and colours found in nature .I have studied fineart painting and then travelled the world for inspiration where i learnt the ancient technique of"wet felting".
    In my paintings and wallhangings i am trying to capture that still,calm, connected place that is within when sitting on the earth.
    Using these textures i have made bespoke sculptural felted waistcoats and accessories wanting to make "wearable art"! i enjoy the play of fibres and layered surfaces that can be created using the wool and various natural fibers and that i can use the felt to make seamless clothing....so all one piece!!
 I have exhibited in switzerland and london and now enjoy having my studio in somerset.
     I enjoy taking this traddition of feltmaking into new realms with all its diverse possibilities.
