A Night of Light: Special Art Weeks evening event at Hestercombe Gardens
Friday 30th September 6-9pm

A ‘Night of Light’ will feature an evening circular walk through Hestercombe’s Georgian Landscape Garden, Victorian Terrace and Edwardian Formal Garden to see an extraordinary range of site specific and screen-based artworks by national, regional artists and participants.

The event celebrates this year’s Somerset Art Weeks, and launches a programme of work as part of the Cultural Olympiad in Somerset. Along the route will be work by a variety of artists that have responded to garden and rural contexts, these will include: Mark Anderson, Chloe Brooks, Suki Chan, Michael Fairfax, Helena Haimes, Simon Hitchens, Sue and Alexander Maris, Tim Martin, Sue Palmer, Jane Prophet, James Price working with Family Connections.

The event is organised by Reveal, Somerset’s visual arts and media partnership between Somerset Art Works, Somerset Film and Brewhouse Visual Arts, in partnership with Hestercombe Gardens.

Tickets: £5 for adults, £3 for children under 12 & concessions, £12 for families (two adults and 2 children) (All tickets include a complimentary drink).

Note: Limited access for certain areas of the gardens, children must accompanied by an adult at all times.
