Good news for SAW and Somerset Artists and Makers!

SAW has moved to Langport Town Hall to set up a small Creative 'Hub' for Visual Artists and Makers in Somerset.  Our funding application to Somerset County Council and the Rural Renaissance Market Town Regeneration Fund has been successful and has enabled this exciting development to take place.

New media facilities with high speed internet access and appropriate software will help SAW to extend the full potential of its services to members. 
From April 2009 we will provide members with free of charge access to:
- One to one surgeries (eg help with using the SAW website, using the internet to promote your work)
- Regular networking events with an invited speaker
- Peer discussion groups

In addition to this we look to provide members with access to tailored training initiatives in partnership with other sector specialists and partners including Somerset Film and Video, Arts Matrix, Creative Business Boost and SPAEDA.

This is a very exciting move forward for SAW and all our members.
