Julie Jenkins - 'Sandstone".  An exhibition of paintings created from sketches/photographs of my recent travels along the Silk Route.

The dramatic location of Petra's sandstone facades and fantastic, towering, weathered sandstone of Wadi Rum and Anatolia's moonscape, eroded by the elements, are captured in atmospheric pastel and gouache paintings.  Included are paintings of Hindu and Jain temples and ancient Buddhist carvings of Ajanta, India.
