Pauline Watson makes ceramic sculptures, mainly inspired by natural forms, textures and colours, often incorporating geometric elements. Recent work includes slip-cast, carved bone-china vessels, ceramic books and other text-based pieces.
Donna Norton makes human body-casts in smooth porcelain and textural clays, which are smoke-fired or finished with metallic glazes and oxides. Also, thrown stoneware bowls with glass details, porcelain tee-light holders and tripod ammonite bowls.
Both artists will be demonstrating their different ways of working and visitors will have the opportunity to 'have a go' on the potter's wheel.
