Artist-in-school Programme: Andrew Bolton & St. Vigour and St. John Junior School

Venue number:
56
Somerset Art Weeks:
2009

Artist Andrew Bolton worked with the students and local community to create works by using photography, painting and digital print. The work explores issues related to environment, identity and history of the local community.

The exhibition will consist of large scale collabrative work, as well as works by individual students. An event will take place on Friday 18 September to invite public to contribute to the work. Please contact the school for details.

'I am particularly excited about this project because work by several people appears in one place, the transparency combining their individual visions into a new whole containing unexpected juxtapositions. As new layers are added, the composition changes, giving the work a life independent of any of its creators, myself included.' - Andrew Bolton
