Artist-in-school Programme:Gordon Field & St. Dubricius C of E First School

Venue number:
5
Somerset Art Weeks:
2009

An exhibition of works from the students developed with artist Gordon Field during the residency at St Dubricius Primary School in Porlock. Gordon's work will be exhibited to provide the context and inspiration of the project.

'Using the growth of a tree as the format, the roots provide the foundations for the students’ ideas which will then move up the tree leading to lively and exciting results. Journeys through natural landscapes discovering the hidden details of the world around us and revealing them to others are the foundations of my work.  In school projects I take everyone on journeys of discovery and explorations of their imaginations.' - Gordon Field

Work will also be on display at: The Porlock Visitor Centre, The Old School, West End, High Street, Porlock TA24 8QD
